Your privacy and data security are a top priority for both your credit union and Goodbuy during this pilot. We’ve intentionally designed the Community Marketplace experience to keep your personal information safe and minimal.
What information is collected
We only collect the minimum necessary to run the pilot effectively:
- General engagement metrics (e.g. how many members visited the site or downloaded a pass)
- Discount usage (e.g. number of times discounts were redeemed per business)
- Optional feedback you submit through surveys or help requests
We DO NOT collect or share:
- Your credit union account information
- Your transaction history
- Your name, email, or phone number
- Your location data or app usage outside the marketplace
Who has access to what?
- Your credit union sees anonymized engagement and pilot feedback to evaluate program performance.
- Goodbuy helps manage the platform and stores only non-personal pilot data.
- Businesses see only the number of redemptions and that a valid pass was shown. They do not receive any member data.
What about the Community Access Pass?
Your pass functions like a digital membership card. It contains no personal data — just a visual and QR code to verify you’re part of the pilot. No identifying info is stored in the pass itself or shared when it’s scanned or shown.
How is my information stored?
Data is stored securely using industry-standard practices. We use encrypted channels and privacy-focused infrastructure to ensure your information is never exposed or misused.
If the program expands beyond the pilot, additional privacy details will be shared and reviewed.
